1. Acceptance of Terms
By using I Got Dibs! (the "Service"), operated by Block Heist LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
I Got Dibs! is a neighborhood game where households compete to "steal" a seasonal mascot by scanning NFC tags. The Service includes a mobile app, web app, and marketing website.
3. Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- One person may manage multiple households (primary, vacation, guest residences).
4. Game Rules and Conduct
- Play fair. Do not tamper with, clone, or damage NFC tags.
- Respect cooldown periods. The system enforces them automatically.
- Do not trespass or violate local laws while playing the game.
- Neighborhood commissioners may ban households that violate game rules.
- Seasons have a 24-hour cancellation window after creation.
5. NFC Tags and Kits
- Game kits include NTAG 424 DNA NFC chips. These tags are the property of the kit purchaser.
- Tags must be kept accessible to all players in the neighborhood during an active season.
- Deliberately hiding, destroying, or removing a tag from play during an active season is a violation of game rules.
- Lost or damaged tags can be swapped to a backup tag by the season commissioner.
6. Purchases and Payments
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Prices are in USD and include the game kit with NFC tags.

7. Intellectual Property
The I Got Dibs! name, logo, mascot designs, and app are owned by Block Heist LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
I Got Dibs! is a game for entertainment purposes. Block Heist LLC is not responsible for:
- Injuries, property damage, or disputes arising from gameplay.
- Lost, stolen, or damaged NFC tags after delivery.
- Service interruptions or data loss.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
