Block Heist LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the I Got Dibs! mobile application and website (igotdibs.app and igotdibs.io). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and password when you create an account.
  • Household Data: Household name, member names, and residence type (primary, vacation, guest).
  • Location Data: Approximate location when you scan an NFC tag, used to verify steals. We do not track your location in the background.
  • NFC Scan Data: Tag identifiers and timestamps when you scan a game mascot.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase a kit, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Device Information: Device type and push notification tokens for game alerts.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the game: process steals, track leaderboards, manage seasons.
  • To send game notifications (steal alerts, season updates).
  • To process and fulfill kit orders.
  • To prevent cheating and enforce game rules (cooldown timers, location verification).
  • To improve our services and fix bugs.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
  • Other players: Your household name and steal activity are visible to other players in your neighborhood seasons.
  • Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and Expo (push notifications).
  • Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. NFC tags use NTAG 424 DNA chips with cryptographic verification.

6. Your Rights

You can:
  • Access and update your account information through the app.
  • Delete your account by contacting us at hello@igotdibs.io.
  • Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

I Got Dibs! is a household game. Accounts must be created by adults (18+). Children may participate as household members under adult supervision.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
